Another View...

This shot shows the Railroad Bridge looking on the West side of the Kennebec River in Augusta, Me. As you can see there use to be another set of tracks on the right of the bridge, when they were removed I don't know. This bridge hasn't been used since During Maine Coast operations on the Lower Road, they
ran a train to East Augusta where GRS took over and did the switching. Service across the bridge was restored in March 2000 and then terminated shortly thereafter when MC lost the contract. However new ties and soon to be new rail is being put down on the West side for frieght trains to return & mabye someday a passeneger line.
