Good-Bye

The day has come for B&M GP7's 1558 and 1557 to say good-bye and meet the scrappers tourch. Built in 1950 the units had a good life working for the B&M and wore the roads finial paint scheme with the basic block lettering. Many first generation units like these were scrapped under Guilfords ownership.

Photographed by Dave Mohla, May 22, 1988.
Added to the photo archive by Matt Rooks, June 25, 2003.
Railroad: Boston & Maine.
