MEC MoW Crew, 1800s

Look at this bunch. They've laid a couple of planks between two hand cars and are holding still for a shot. Picked this up on Ebay. Very, very faded. This picture is the result of a couple of hours work in Paint Shop Pro working from a scanned 20mb bmp file. The faces are priceless. In these days you went to work for the RR and worked till you couldn't any more, or found something else to do. The MEC 'Magazine' in the 40s and early 50s notes the retirements of RR staff who had 50 and 60 years of service.
