Maine Central in St Johnsbury Although a terrible backlit shot; the fact that it was one of the last MEC trains to leave St J for Portland makes it one of my favorites. This daily train was rare to photograph during daytime. Only a few weeks later the sight of MEC in Vermont would be a memory. Photographed by Brian Nicholson, May, 1983.
