"Sow's Ear"

Let the restoration begin! Amtrak installed fiberglass side panels have been removed and a "plain" nose door installed in place of the multi-light job. Amtrak E-8 496 "donated" the replacement nose door as she would no longer be needing it. The 496 was the only one of Amtrak's five H.E.P. equipped E-units that got turned into razor blades, the other four survive to this day.
