"Roof"

I'm sure you've seen pictures of guys welding track or some such. They always have their facemasks down while they're working, but what about when they pause for a short break? The mask flips up, and the faceless guy gets a personality, especially when he (or she) flashes a wide grin. Consider, for example, Renato "Roof" Rufo, an Amtrak track department foreman in Boston, who was making repairs on the Dorchester Branch diamond inside South Bay Interlocking. It's where the loop track crosses and goes to Southampton Street Yard.
