Rye, New York Westbound station.New Haven's westbound Rye, N.Y. railroad station.
Note triangular catenary. Picture taken 9/18/1935.
It has been called to my attention by a viewer of this site, I will let his e-mail do the explaining.
One can get a glimpse of the short-lived New York, Westchester & Boston Railway's Port Chester branch catenary, making this image especially rare, as it is dated 1935. The NYW&B's overhead wire is visible behind and to the right of the platform shed. Between 1929 and 1937 NYW&B trains used two tracks it installed on the west side of the New Haven's right-of-way between New Rochelle and Port Chester.
Thank you for pointing out the catenary Dave.
