NYNHHRR-New footbridge over Hartford main.

NYNHHRR-New footbridge over the Hartford main into the Westbound Dept. yard at Cedar Hill, New Haven, Ct. Picture taken ca. 1947-48. It was built to accomodate the train crews now staying at the State St. New Haven, Ct. Railroad YMCA. Which is the large building shown in the upper left hand side of the picture. The RR did away with the grade crossing a couple of hundred feet west or south of the bridge.
In the foreground most likely ashes, covered with the snow. Also a coal box with lid in the
lower right hand corner of the picture for the pot bellies. Sorry about the condition of the picture, but it is the best I could do with I have on my apple. The picture is 56 years old as of this posting and I do not have the negative. Bob L.
