Detail of a switch stand which was once in the B&ML main yard, Belfast, ME

Detail of the mechanism of a switch stand which spent many decades in service in the B&ML's main yard in Belfast, ME. The stand is now part of a display, along with a section of 1896 75lb rail which came from the same rail yard in Belfast, by the front door of my home in Ardmore, PA.

Photographed by Bruce C. Cooper (DigitalImageServices.com), August 3, 2002.
Added to the photo archive by Bruce Cooper, July 27, 2004.
Railroad: Belfast & Moosehead Lake.
