Long silent*** Warning: Do not go inside these buildings, they are fenced off and are dangerous. All photos were taken from outside the fence. Do not go inside.***
The old round house sits silent today, long are the days when power was put away at night or serviced before a haul. Gone are the days of the night hostler running around to keep the boilers warm and a head of steam going.
Gone are the days of coal smoke and sooty mechanics and the site a steam locomotive being serviced before it took a train to somewhere else.
All gone, because of the first generation diesels that sit no more than a mile away.
