Durham, NH Track Cutover 1

Durham, NH Track Cutover 1. This new track is part of a temporary realignment of the existing Boston-Portland line to allow for construction of a new roadway underpass at UNH. This will enable better access to university property and buildings on the west side of the railroad. The H-piles stuck in the ground between the tracks are for shoring that will hold up the embankment during the phased construction. Guilford crews are seen here working hard to get this done in one day.
