TLS at kenyon

The TLS (Track laying system) is sitting on track two at the Kenyon Detector about two miles west of the Kingston RI station. The cars are loaded with wooden ties which were removed. The machine moves along at about 5 mph and as it goes it pulls spikes, lifts out the old rail, digs up the old ties and transports them to storage cars, picks up concrete ties off storage cars, spaces them and places them and sets new rail on the ties. Equipment follwing the train inserts the clips, aligns and tamps.
