Last car out.

It's after midnight on the Beacon Street Line at the Reservoir Car House. Picture Window 3285 PCC, the last car of the night, hums as it waits for its last passenger to board. A slushy ice/snow mix covers its guardrail, which will make wheels spin as it turns right across Beacon Street onto its private ROW. The Sand Car will follow overnight to keep the line clear for am cars.

Photographed by Paul Joyce, 1975.
Added to the photo archive by Paul Joyce, June 28, 2006.
Railroad: MBTA.
