Due to a lack of available power, the Housatonic had to call up some pinch hitters to help with Friday's southbound NX-12x. Leading the charge up the grade at Holmes Road in Pittsfield is Housatonic RS-3m #9935 (currently on loan to the Berkshire Scenic). The second unit is Housatonic GP-9 #1802, a formewr P&W unit and regular power on all Housatonic trains. Back there in the third slot is Berkshire Scenic SW-8 #8619 adding all of her 800 horses into the mix!
