MBTA F-40 #1058 caught fire at South Station Saturday afternoon, Sept 16th shortly after 3PM. All overhead power was shut down which stalled a few trains outside the station. The fire was in some electrical components and was allowed to burn itself out. In this 4 PM photo, the engine and trainset is being towed to South Boston by MBTA geep 902. The rear top part of the hood had some obvious damage which the photo really does not show.
