B&M History - The former W.N.&P. Division Main Line

This is mile post 39 on the main line of the Worcester, Nashua and Portland Division (known as the "Hollis Branch" in its last days). The mile post is in Mass. a little south of the New Hampshire state line. The Nashua River Rail Trail has recently been extended a short distance into Nashua, NH. It is now possible to ride on a paved bike trail from across the street from Ayer station on the Fitchburg Division to point in Nashua a little north of the site of the former Hollis station (which was actually in Nashua at the Hollis line)>
