Another Lost Symbol II

Late May 2002 had been a good time to be on Guilford's west end. Most symbols were running in daylight, which meant multiple possibilities between Deerfield and Mechanicville in D4. A meet was in store with westbound EDSR and eastbound MOED at Tunnel Road in Rowe, Massachusetts. EDSR was first on the scene, and to our pleasant surprise, it had a trio of sixpack power with SD45 684 leading SD39s 692 and 690. Having walked in from Tunnel Road, the train made one last thrust before stopping east of the crossing. No way could this be repeated today with two of the three locos retired and the symbol abolished. Right place.......right time!
