Bardwell's Afternoon

There are probably not many people who can actually remember seeing trains on the old Shelburne-South Deerfield New Haven Line. However, in the area of Bardwells in the southern tip of Shelburne, the trail is still quite visible with ties even in the ground. Here in last rays of an October 2001 day, Guilford's EDMO with its "usual" CP power is rolling west on the opposite side of the Deerfield River.

Photographed by Jeff Bray, October, 2001.
Added to the photo archive by Jeff Bray, January 5, 2007.
Railroad: CPR / B&M.
