C39-8 Hat Trick

By this hot day in early July 2000, CSX had operated the ex-CR Boston Line for a little over a year. Yet, there were still solid blocks of "Big Blue" power showing up on occasion. Such was the case with this Q264 at CP 83 in Palmer, MA. Such a trio of C39-8s would rarely have been thought of under CR.

Photographed by Jeff Bray, July, 2000.
Added to the photo archive by Jeff Bray, April 28, 2007.
Railroad: CSX (Conrail).
