A very humid September afternoon in 2000 promised thunderstorms for much of western Massachusetts and Guilfords District 4. With foot soldiers brewing above, westbound #559 crossed the Deerfield river into Florida, MA. SD26 #643 had the honors and a wicked bad horn sounding for the crossing of River Road just ahead.
