With the weather being very hot and humid, nevertheless pleasing for May, a NBSR eastbound continues the journey to St. John, New Brunswick, crossing the Penobscot River at Mattawamkeag, Maine. The train had earlier picked up interchange traffic from Pan Am Railway's yard, just east of this bridge.
