Stafford Hollow Foliage 2000The second annual run of the NECR/VTR foliage train had a hard time finding sun early in its run of October 2000. Most of northern Connecticut was shrouded in fog and high clouds. However, by the time it reached lower Monson, Massachusetts, backlight and sidelight were king for the northbound train. At Stafford Hollow Road, the special was coasting downgrade on its way to Palmer.
