Vermonter waits for the switch

Amtrak train 57, the southbound Vermonter, had to wait for a maintainer to come fix a reluctant switch before it was able to leave NECR iron for the Boston line to head west. Since the connecting track between NECR and CSX here curves to the east, the engine in the lead in this photo will soon be bringing up in the rear.
