Boothbay RailwayFreeport station was originally built by the standard gauge Maine Central around 1911 and stop being used in 1961. The station was moved to its present location and restored in 1964. Also new to the museum grounds is a building for a model railroad layout. It presently has some buildings and an operating loop for standard gauge and volunteers say plans are for some narrow gauge track with engines and cars.
