Ball SignalsThis is the view looking west. Fortunately, the old signals still stand. The Maine Central went to the right, from Portland to St. Johnsbury, where it exchanged cars primarily with the St J.&L.C. This was the Mountain Division. The B&M went to the left, from Berlin to Wells River and on through White River to Springfield, Mass. This spot is magical.
