Visitor Comments about this Photo:#1 Porter only lasted a very few years as the prime motive power. As in all railroads, it was soon too small for the increasing loads of passengers. While the next year (1959) it pushed a full-sized 40ft open car, it was soon superceded by #4 Heisler, which was rescued from West Virginia (there is no record of a Heisler anywhere in NE, to my knowledge) and completely rebuilt from stem to stern to serve as the prime motive power for many years.
