With the tourist trains asleep for the winter months, Mass Coastal is apparently in the midst of a track repair blitz on the Cape main. Here we see some brand new ties waiting for installation east of Dewey Street in Sandwich. Many of the existing ties are little more than kindling, the result of deferred maintenance by the previous tenant.
