On a trip back to Upstate, NY this summer, I made a short trip to Elmira NY's NS Yard. The 3036 was on the west side (next to the mainline) of the yard coupled to a string of about 25 cars. I was expecting it to be idling but to my surprise it was not running at all. You could hear a pin drop in the yard. On the east side there were several other engines as well.
