South Amboy NJ

Looking across the swing bridge over the Raritan River from South Amboy waiting for one of the last GG1s to arrive. The power switch from Electric to Diesel was always a fan favorite. South Amboy to Bay Head was the last territory for the famed Pensy K4s. (note the d-rail turnout from the engine house siding)

Photographed by Chuck Heidorn, November 26, 1982.
