LTEX 1453 at Sagamore

On a muggy and rainy night Mass Coastal's new Lease unit stretches her legs on the dinner train. This was the first run for this unit after being shipped from Larry's Truck and Electric in Ohio. The engine is a model GP15-1 built for Conrail in September of 1979 as their number 1695. She was later transfered to Norfolk Southern after the Conrail split and numbered 1453. In 2007, she, along with most other GP15's in NS's roster were sold to LTEX. This is here first lease since being purchased by LTEX. The engine is powered by a 12 cylender 645 prime mover producing 1500hp. She's a cool little engine!
