Conway Scenic (nee Maine Central) GP-38 252, the Kurt N Ward, is the trailing unit on the westbound Notch Train at Crawfords. The unit's namesake was a former CSRR Trainman and long time MEC fan who died in a switching accident while working a major freight yard for his most recent employer. 252 was the power for a Sunset Train to Bartlett recently, where a memorial to Kurt was held.
