Crews from CDOT, Local Fire & Police, as well as P&W, NECR and RJ Corman were on scene 11/09/2010 in Willamantic, CT assisting in the recovery and removal of 6 derailed tank cars.
The easiest cars too rerail will be moved first, then empties will be moved in and the two cars with the extreme list will be emptied, then righted and moved.
NO spillage, NO injuries, and NO evacuations were necessary as of Tuesday evening, although the area 500' around the accident was cordoned off.
