THE SAGA OF THE V888

The big 'star' at Selkirk Yard this weekend had to be this 'test burn' loaded coal train; CSXT V888 bound for the Roseton Power Plant on the River Sub from the midwest. After many delays that included a CSXT 'add on', the train finally got going off Track 13 for CP-SK with dramatic results! The train's former leader, a CN&W AC44 UP '6726' smoked up a storm that would make an Alco Century envious as the train pulled east with 102 loads.
