Railroadman Clyde Page (1907-1975) is never far from the B&MLRR rails...

Clyde Page (1907-1975) worked all his life as a railroadman on the Belfast & Moosehead Lake RR in Waldo County, ME. The third (of six) generations of Page's to eventually work for the B&ML, he requested that he and his wife, Thelma, be laid to rest "as close as possible" to the road's 33-mile single track grade (visible just beyond the fence) over which BML#53, a 1950s era GE 70-ton diesel electric locomotive is seen passing. The Page's now rest together (foreground) in a small graveyard in City Point, ME, two-and-a-half miles up the line from Belfast, that is also immediately adjacent to the City Point Central Railroad Museum owned and operated by Clyde Page's son, Mack, who along with his brother, Bruce, also worked for the B&ML. By tradition, every B&ML train toots its horn in tribute to Clyde Page as it passes his resting place a few yards away. During his 47-year career as a conductor on the B&ML, Clyde Page rode more than 1,650,000 miles over the line's 33 miles or track representing his making some 25,000 round trips between Belfast and Burnham Junction.
