The BMLRR Engine House Before and After DemolitionOne bay of the two bay 1946 BMLRR engine house at the road's former Belfast Yard (MP 0) had a "pit" to permit work to be accomplished on undersides of the BML's GE 70-Ton diesel electric locomotives. The upper image with the pit visible on the left was taken less than a hour before demolition of the 65-year old facility began on June 21, 2011; the lower image was taken from the exact same location a week later. (Nine images of the actual demolition of the engine house, posted on June 21, 2011, are included in the images of the B&ML in this archive.)
