Remote operations warning sign near Kidders (MP 1), Searsport, METhis sign along side of the "Horseshoe" curve at Kidders (designated by the small sign to the left of the track in the distance) at MP 1 of the main line warns of the possibility of remote control operations of trains entering or leaving the road's Searsport yard a mile down the track from this location. The almost 180 degree, 2,600 foot long curve carries the line around the tip of Long Cove which separates Searsport from Sears Island. That yard was the southernmost point on the old Bangor and Aroostook system which the MMA acquired in 2003.
