Climax is back at White Mountain Central

After a year out of service due to a broken gear assembly, David Clark and his gang have put it back together with a new custom made assembly. They bought two and put one away for a spare, just in case.

Excuse the crummy picture but I was in a hurry to get back to the Hobo RR just around the corner.

Visitor Comments about this Photo:

Climax #6 was delivered brand new to the Beebe River Railroad in 1920. It operated only a few years and was moved to Lincoln and the EB&L in 1925 when Parker-Young sold the Beebe River mill and woodland up to Guinea Pond to Draper Corporation, a loom manufacturer out of Hopedale MA. Wagner Woodlands now owns all of the former Draper holdings. By 1927 the gears were worn completely out so #6 was put into storage until it was rescued in 1950 by Edward M. Clark and moved to Clark's Trading Post and set out back on four pieces of 60lb rail on what was to become the White Mt. Central RR. It has spent most of its active life a the main motive power once the WMC trains got too heavy for the Heisler.
