Andover Double Track ties at Lowell Junction

It appears that the work is now going to be concentrated from Macaulay to Wilm Jct. This is looking east towards the PAR LJ switch with Lowell Jct Rd crossing just ahead.

Thousands and thousands of new ties are stacked here beside the mainline and across Gillette Way on the former section of the wye long out of service that connected off the mainline at the west switch and joined PAR mainline to Lowell.

That west switch has had its switch serviced and the flangeways over both Lowell Jct Rd and Gillette Way cleared in order for it to be used at a staging area. No effort has been expended on the section that completes the leg of wye to the PAR mainline.
