Site of the B&MLRR Belfast Yard in 1947 and 2012

These two views of the site of the B&MLRR's main yard (MP 0.0) in Belfast, Maine, show what the 33-mile, 142 year old road's headquarters looked like during its heyday in 1947 and the same site today which is now occupied by the newly established Front Street Ship Yard. The remainder of the line's grade just beyond the old yard still exists and operates as a seasonal excursion railroad between the Upper Bridge about a mile inland and Waldo at MP 7 with occasional runs to Brooks and Burnham Junction.
