Along the Route of the Southern New England

Two bridges, two guys. Corner of Morris and East Main, Southbridge. Bridge abutments for the SNE were built in 1914, but the bridge and the rails never came. Beyond, the bridge and rails for the out-of-service New Haven branch are still in place. Thanks to Larry Lowenthal's book "Titanic Railroad" and its many detailed maps. Also Ronald Dale Karr's "Rail Lines of Southern New England."

Photographed by David Bastille, May 7, 2012.
Added to the photo archive by David Bastille, August 3, 2012.
Railroad: Titanic Railroad.
