Andover Double Track - Bridge replacement

One of the two contracts given to JF White by MBTA is this historic brick arch bridge as see from Lupine Rd in Andover. The project is $10.9 million for both with a completion not scheduled until Sept 2014. Pile drivers are driving deep into the earth as can been seen standing vertical. The previously layed second track has been removed from here to the cemetery crossing just east if here so that the work is accessible.

It appears that they are building a new bridge over the old yet the old will still appear on the exterior. This is some of the oldest B&M track as the railroad began in Wilmington and ventured north from there.
