Over the winter I have not ventured towards Lowell Jct but today I noticed that they have reached Lowell Jct Road with the CWR that was placed a year ago.

Also at Essex Street in Andover it appears that they are ready to rip through the crossing to add a second track. Meanwhile they are still (JF White Co.) working on restoring the two historic arch bridges over the rambling Shawsheen River however the contrack states that they are scheduled for completion in 9/2014 so nothing will happen as far as using this double track section until then..
