Due to culvert work on Lowell Line, the Downeaster takes the former Western Route through Malden, Melrose, Wakefield and Reading as well as a run through North Wilmington Station to bypass the construction in Woburn.

Anderson in Woburn did not see any AMTK service today.

All Downeaster crews are qualified on this detour route so it is no stranger to them.
