Batten Kill Rail Road -- Friday August 07, 2015The 4116 is getting "ready to rumble" onto the bridge structure as in just a moment it will cross its namesake Battenkill River on this gorgeous August afternoon. Making up the consist heading northbound are six-axle MOW flatcar #103 and nine loaded covered hoppers assembled from interchange at Eagle Bridge NY -- as they jauntily saunter into what the old D&H crews used to call "no-man's land" -- the four mile stretch outside Shushan NY to the historic covered bridge at Rexleigh.
