More "Northern" Exposure

For the railfan in Concord, catching a train is more like an event than a mundane occurrence. Seeing Pan Am take advantage of a hardly used piece of track.. Well, that's pretty huge.

To make way for the Circus Train to be stored in Nashua, well those cars in Nashua had to go somewhere, and here they are stashed away on the rarely used Northern line which once went to White River Junction, but Boscawen is now the unassuming end of the line.

There is no revenue generated on the Northern branch at this time, yet the line is usable for when needs like car storage arise. The line to the right of the 518 is the "Boston, Concord. and Montreal", used by the New England Southern, Winnipesaukee Scenic, and Hobo Railroads, and usable all the way to Lincoln.

This was one of the lengthier trains I have seen arrive in Concord.
