Eastbound Acela at Wickford Jct on a Misty Day

Amtrak Acela 2036, operating as train 2154, approaches the Wickford Jct. T station in North Kingstown, RI during the course of a misty rain. The dark trees in the background provide an excellent backdrop for the plume of water created as the Acela, traveling at or close to its 150 mph top speed wipes the water from the wire. Unfortunately Acelas produce much better photos in unpleasant weather than in good weather: powedery snow, misty rain, very heavy rain produce interesting effects.
