It's 0840 Sunday morning and a good sized ED-8 coasts downhill at Wachusett past MBTA 2402 that will be departing for North Station in 5 minutes once the engineer returns to the cab. ED-8 will be given the fast track (#1) at CPF-333 so it can set out all but three of its cars at Fitchburg yard, relegating 2402 to the slower track 2 until it reaches Fitchburg station. About a half dozen passengers boarded 2402 at Wachusett.
