SidelinedLong string of boxcars sit on the Maine Line in Waterville, Maine. Shorty after I took this photo, I was told that Pan Am just got a grant from the Government and are planning on replacing rail and signals on this line. This is being done for 2 reasons, the line is used on a daily basis and will make things safer. 2 I was told if the the Amtrak Downeaster was going to Head onto Bangor then they could use this line and see no interferences coming through other areas' of the Rail Yard. The Rockland route is looking bleak because of a major bridge rehabilitation so this route via Brunswick through Gardiner, Augusta, Waterville and eventually Bangor would make more sense in bringing revenue in than just dead ending in Downtown Rockland. If you took a train stright for hear you would end up in Downtown, Bangor.
