NA-1 518 by Gas Street in Concord NHHere was the NA-1 Crew with the unusual sighting of 518 facing south. Not sure the fate of the number boards, but necessity is the mother of invention as cardboard, duct tape, a Sharpie, and good handwriting made things work for the time being. This is 518's first appearance on These NH Rails for 2022.
This location is one of the better spots in Concord for picture taking, with the historical Concord Gasholder Building in the background. The Gasholder Building is reported to be the last of it's kind in the United States where everything is pretty much intact inside. It was taken out of service in the early 1950's. Efforts are now underway to preserve the structure, as the building was at a critical point, where it was time to either save it now, or knock it down before it falls down.
The NA-1 Crew was heading south to River Road in Bow.
