NA-1 518 at Bow Blue Seal, Bow NH

From 8/24, here was the NA-1 Crew spotting one load on the Suncook Valley Track remnant at Bow Blue Seal. This track goes right through the garage bay and almost to Hall Street, where the hint of a paved over crossing remain, along with the bridge piers that once took the line across the Merrimack River.

It's been almost the entire summer since Bow Blue Seal has received any inbound shipments. MEC 518 has been a common sighting on "These New Hampshire Rails" over the past several years. This rebuilt 1976 Canadian GP40-2 is equipped modern hardware and software to run in MBTA territory.

So far in 2023, it's been mostly the Canadian wide-nose-cabs (500's) all the time for the Nashua Crews. Standard cab GP40's (the 300's) have become rare sightings here.

Taken with permission on private property.
